Supporting Early Career Talent

At the end of 2023 I started supporting young talent with career mentoring via the Black Pharma, and Black British in STEM (BBSTEM) organisations. It has been extremely rewarding and I fully endorse getting involved in supporting the younger generations of students with guidance to help prepare them for success during these important decision-making milestones.

Why I Help

I believe that after committing the precious, formative years of their lives to the high-quality courses on offer at academic institutions, students deserve access to specialist support that offers proven and tested answers learned from industry-specific experience.

This is increasingly true for students from socio-economic backgrounds that are underrepresented within their target employers. Students can often have a network of friends and family lacking experience in their target field of practice.

These students are not responsible for this, rather the factors can be defined by a student’s baseline start in life. Suffering from career disadvantage due to inequity in support systems can impact the trajectory of their career success.
